With a $25,000 yearly budget, an Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Chemung, Steuben, and Schuyler County was founded in 1986. It began with a few citizens who were concerned about abortion and how it impacted the lives of men and women and the loss of unborn life. 

Today, the Southern Tier Pregnancy Resource Center, (STPRC) offers hope for women at 2 locations. Counseling, education and limited medical services are available at our main office in the Elmira Medical Arts Building at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY and counseling, education and material support is offered at our satellite office on Maple Avenue in Odessa, NY in Schuyler County. Over 300 women are seen each year by trained volunteers and staff.

The Southern Tier Pregnancy Resource Center promotes healthy choices by providing education regarding pregnancy and sexual health, as well as coordinated access to limited medical services.

It is our pledge that the services of STPRC continue to grow and expand as we carry the message of choice and hope to women and men throughout the Southern Tier.
